Our Story
TOMAGWA provides compassionate Christian healthcare to community members with limited resources by offering medical, dental, vision, lab, pharmacy, and case management services. With our partners, we are able to treat many levels of care from preventive to chronic and complex medical needs.
TOMAGWA was founded in 1989 in Tomball, TX from the concerns of residents with a mission of providing quality Christian healthcare care, offering hope, and restoring dignity to uninsured, under-resourced individuals and families.
Since then, TOMAGWA has expanded its service area beyond its original 3 cities of Tomball, Magnolia and Waller to a 600 square mile radius and continues to be the resource in its local community for safety-net, charitable health care to residents of Harris, Montgomery and Waller counties.
TOMAGWA is a gold standard award winner for cholesterol, hypertension, and diabetic care recognized by the American Heart Association and The American Medical Association. TOMAGWA received advanced standards awards for quality from its state and national associations. TOMAGWA also has a distinguished A-plus rated immunization program through Texas Vaccines for Children.
On avereage, TOMAGWA provides over 30,000 medical services, 18,000 dental services, and fills over 8,500 prescriptions annually with the support of its army of partners and professional volunteers.
