TOMAGWA'S OFFICIAL STAND ON HEALTHCARE BILL AND HOW THAT WILL IMPACT THE CLINIC

“The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (the new federal health care reform bill) will expand Medicaid coverage for many low-income adults and provide health insurance subsidies for other low and middle income families. Those provisions of the new law do not become effective until 2014. There are still many questions to be answered as to how the new law will be implemented in the state of Texas, and exactly how many people will be eligible for those programs. TOMAGWA will continue to closely monitor the planned implementation of the new law, and make adjustments to our programs as necessary. But we are certain that today, for the next 4 years, and even after 2014, there will be many individuals and families that will need the services and ministry that TOMAGWA provides. The support of the entire community is more important now than ever.”
